The easiest way to take an outfit from predictable to interesting is to add a bit of patterns to the mix – and then mixing them. It’s fun and can be done exactly according to mood and personality. We see A LOT of it in magazines and on the streets lately, and it seems the wilder the better. It looks supercool in pictures but can feel a bit tricky to wear in real life.
Personally I need a bit of order in the madness to make it work for me. Here I’m having two styles softly clashing: boldly coloured preppyness vs. animal prints and tanned leather. I’m keeping two items in each to keep a bit of balance. Shirt+blazer, skirt+shoes.
