Oslo Runway has just finished in Oslo, and I’ve attended a chosen few shows with the people I know from the business. One of them was Kjell Nordstrøm aka Baron von Bulldogs show “Black rose”, that was dedicated to the little black dress – and women of all sizes, colours and ages. What else to wear than my own version of the LBD?
This one from Ted Baker was bought a few years ago in New York. The shape of it has always been lovely, but the neckline started feeling too strict, so it ended in the back of my closet. I am NOT a fan of getting rid of items only to replace them by new ones, I dont want to be part of that cycle, so the show was the right time to give it new life. I decided to trade the strick V-neck for a square-ish cut that fits my face and body better. Below is the the original version with the marks for the new cut.
I’m very happy with the result. It was a bit messy to get done, but I know I will be wearing it a lot more from now on. The white slip is in fact worked on as well. Once again the neckline did not fit me, so I changed that one too.
As I simply never have the time for those photos once the Fashionweek starts running, we went to the Botanical gardens here in Oslo so capture my work. The weather was simply gorgeous, so we had the best time walking around in the beauty of the place. Do visit if you have the time!
